State Government Facilities
Landscape Maintenance & Construction
Our horticulturists, greenkeepers, carpenters and parks and gardens staff work hard to maintain schools, hospitals, transport infrastructure, and other government properties. From turf care and garden maintenance to designing and constructing common areas, we ensure every space is well-presented, functional, and compliant.
Tree Planting and Establishment
Waratah supports government tree planting initiatives by selecting and installing suitable trees / plants and managing their care through watering, fertilising, and ongoing assessment to ensure strong establishment and long-term growth.
School and Sports Field and Turf Maintenance
Our greenkeepers are experienced in maintaining high-traffic sports fields, school playing areas, and public lawns. Services include mowing, fertilising, coring, top dressing, irrigation system management, and general turf care to ensure safe and usable surfaces throughout the year.
Arboriculture Services
Our Level 5 Arborists assess existing and mature trees to ensure the safety and enjoyment of the public. We deliver dead wooding, pruning, mulching, and stump grinding, with full tree removal services where required, all in line with the highest safety standards.

Vegetation Management and Fire Mitigation
We deliver tailored vegetation management programs, including perimeter clearing, mechanical slashing, and fire mitigation works to protect state assets and surrounding communities.
Weed Control Programs
Our targeted weed management services include boom spraying, spot treatments, and knockdown spraying for fence lines, boundary zones, and open areas. Night spraying using electric UTVs is available for sensitive sites or operational areas.
Irrigation Services
We provide full-service irrigation management, including system installation, audits, repairs, seasonal adjustments, and ongoing maintenance to support plant health and water efficiency.
Cleaning Services
We provide cleaning services for communal or shared areas within local council spaces and facilities including routine site cleans, emergency and responsive cleaning, post incident and high-standard hygiene cleans.
Proud to care for your property
At Waratah we value relationships, collaboration, and quality. We treat every property we work on as if it were our own and we’re proud to care for the communities in which we operate.
WGS has grown from a Sydney lawn mowing run in 1997 to maintaining hundreds of sites across Greater Sydney today. Our local roots run deep, and shape how we work, source and grow.
We continue prioritising local, whether sourcing plants and materials, investing in equipment, or growing our team to support new contracts. This commitment strengthens our service delivery and our connection to the communities we work in.
Beyond the work we do on the ground, we are committed to creating positive impact more broadly — for our people, our partners and our communities. That’s why we’ve formalised our approach through our Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) commitments and our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), alongside our Capability Statement. These documents demonstrate the good work WGS is doing while caring for your properties, and the responsibility we take in shaping a sustainable, inclusive future.
